Health Department in Florida Keys Cautions About Red Tide at Marvin Key and Marquesas Keys
LOWER FLORIDA KEYS — The Florida Department of Health in Monroe County advised the public to be “to be cautious due to the presence of red tide near Marvin Key and Marquesas Keys. This is in response to a water sample taken on January 28, 2025.”
Marvin Key and the Marquesas Keys are uninhabitated islands in the Lower Keys.
The Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Red Tide Daily Daily Sampling Map does not currently show red tide in the area. More samples are expected to be evaluated in the coming days.
