Lower Keys Nautical Expo to Feature On-the-Water Wares Jan. 25-26
BIG PINE KEY, Florida Keys — Fans of Florida Keys boating, fishing, diving and other watersports can find goods and supplies for their favorite pursuits Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 25-26, at the 21st annual Big Pine & Lower Keys Nautical Expo.
The open-air expo is designed to appeal to visiting and local sailors, anglers, kayakers, paddleboarders, underwater enthusiasts and everyone who enjoys the Keys’ subtropical seafaring environment.
Set for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, the maritime marketplace is to take place on the grounds of the Lower Keys Chamber of Commerce visitor center, mile marker 31 oceanside on Big Pine Key. Admission and parking are free.
Organizers expect more than 100 vendors to be on hand offering goods for water-based activities of virtually all descriptions. Among the items typically available are dive and snorkel equipment, fishing gear, boating and paddling supplies, and unique nautical-themed wares.
Vendors also are to offer arts and crafts, clothing, jewelry, eclectic home and office décor, casual food and beverages.
Other attractions at the family-friendly event include live music provided by favorite local and regional entertainers. In addition, Florida Keys nonprofit organizations are to share informative displays with attendees.
Proceeds from the expo are to benefit the programs of the Lower Keys Chamber of Commerce.
