TROPICAL DEPRESSION CHRIS DISSIPATES

Tropical Depression Chris dissipated over Cuba Saturday and does not pose a threat to the Florida Keys.

"Chris has become an area of low pressure, devoid of thunderstorm activity," hurricane forecaster Lixion Avila wrote in a final discussion notice on the hurricane center's Web site. "This is the last advisory, unless regeneration occurs."

The hurricane center and National Weather Service Forecast Office Key West will continue to monitor Chris' remnants.
