Summer Fishing Fun Awaits Entrants at Ladies Dolphin Tournament June 7-8

ISLAMORADA, Florida Keys — Lady anglers seeking summer fun, competition and camaraderie can join the Ladies Dolphin Tournament Friday and Saturday, June 7-8. Early-bird registrants can save dollars off their entry fees while helping Florida Keys Elks Lodge charities.

Headquartered at the Florida Keys Elks Lodge, mile marker 92.5 bayside, the tournament kicks off Friday at the lodge with final registration at 5:30 p.m., followed by a mandatory captains meeting at 7 p.m.

Fishing day is Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., when the weigh station closes. An awards banquet with cocktails and dinner follows.

The combined weight of the teams’ three dolphin fish is to determine the winners. Cash prizes of $3,000, $1,500 and $1,000 are to be awarded the grand champion team and the second- and third-place teams, respectively, in addition to trophies and prize packages to be awarded to the top 10 teams.

The lady angler who lands the largest fish is to receive $1,000 and a dolphin pendant custom-crafted by a Keys fine jeweler.

Up to six anglers can register per boat. Adult anglers pay $125 if registered on or before May 11, or $150 per person after May 11 and on or before May 25. Junior anglers under age 16 pay $50 if registered before May 25.

After May 25, late entry fees are $175 per adult angler and $75 per junior angler.
