Celebrate from home between 6 and 9 p.m. The online event promises an evening of fun and entertainment for a great cause, with local radio personality Rude Girl as MC, and featuring guest appearances by talent powerhouses such as Key West's journalist and comedian Gwen Filosa, comedian Stephanie Kaple, Bingo Queen QMitch, Fantasy Fest Queen Bernadette Restivo and a ‘celebrity’ lineup of adorable adoptable animals.   • Join the photographers behind the beautiful images of the forthcoming America’s Marine Sanctuaries: A Photographic Exploration, due out on October 20 from Smithsonian Books, for a unique, intimate look beyond the camera lens. Each session will feature an expert ocean photographer sharing their stories of getting the perfect shot, finding their inspiration, and answering your photography questions. The Nov. 10 event, from 7-8 p.m. (ET), features Key Largo’s own world-famous underwater photographer, Stephen Frink. Tickets are available online, $25 per person.

  • They said it couldn’t be done. Construction of the Overseas Railway was one of the largest engineering feats the world has ever seen, and it was accomplished by Henry Flagler in 1912. It connected Key West to mainland Florida for the first time, opening up the economy of the island, as well as the opportunity for its residents to quickly get luxury items from the United States, Europe and the Americas. The talk features a detailed look into the construction of the Overseas Railway, focusing on the grueling task of construction and the jubilation at its completion. THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES by Eve Ensler, introduces a wildly divergent gathering of female voices, including a six-year-old girl, a septuagenarian New Yorker, a vagina workshop participant, a woman who witnessed her best friend give birth, a Bosnian survivor of rape, and a feminist happy to have found a man who “liked to look at it.” Performances Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening shows at 8:00 pm with a 3:00 pm matinee offered on Sunday, January 17. Tickets $25 pp.
