Celebrate the spirit of literary legend Ernest Hemingway during the 44th annual Hemingway Look- Alike Contest. Contestants gather July 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. for a public meet and greet with previous winners, known as the “Papas.” Round one takes place July 24, followed by round two July 25 and the final round on Saturday, July 26. All rounds begin at 6:30 p.m. at Sloppy Joe’s Bar, 201 Duval St. At 1 p.m. Saturday, former winners and contestants dress in their Pamplona Best for a 1 p.m. “Running of the Bulls,” parade along Greene Street featuring replica bulls-on-wheels. On Sunday morning, enjoy Bloody Marys with the Papas beginning at 9 a.m. and birthday cake at noon in honor of Hemingway’s birthday. The events are free for spectators with seating first come, first served.
