- Treasures of NOAA's Ark opening at the Florida Keys History & Discovery Center in Islamorada, FL, explores the history of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and how the agency, part of the U.S. Department of Commerce, has impacted people across the nation and world. Artifacts like 18th-century maps and early scientific instruments highlight NOAA's legacy of science, service, and stewardship. Join the Florida Keys History & Discovery Center at The Islander Resort, 82100 Overseas Highway, from 5-8 p.m. Free admission. Open to the public. Treasures of NOAA's Ark will be on display through February 2019, Thursday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission is $12, $10 for seniors. Children 13 and under are free.
