Tiny Home, Big Experience: Enjoy a Taste of the Florida Keys & Key West in Toronto and Hamilton Nov. 6-10

TORONTO, ON – As the winter season looms closer and closer, Toronto and Hamilton residents can get an exclusive taste and feel of the Florida Keys & Key West with a limited-time Tiny Home Experience set for Monday, Nov. 6, through Friday, Nov. 10, 2023.

The Florida Keys-themed Tiny Home will be positioned at key locations within Toronto and Hamilton. At each destination, Keys representatives will play host within the Tiny Home, serving up free samples of the Florida Keys’ original Key lime pie (while supplies last), offering select giveaways and prizes, and sharing the latest updates from the continental United States’ southernmost island chain.

"The Florida Keys are known for their subtropical climate and signature experiences, and this campaign helps bring awareness to that especially ahead of Canada’s winter season," said Stacey Mitchell, director of the Florida Keys tourism council. "We invite everyone to visit the Tiny Home and enjoy some authentic Key lime pie, and find out more about what makes the Florida Keys & Key West so unique."

The campaign is expected to reach thousands of people within Toronto and Hamilton and will be stationed at the following high-traffic locations:

Nov. 6-8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Yonge and Dundas Square

Nov. 9-10 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in front of Hamilton City Hall

Believed to have originated in Key West in the late 1800s, Key lime pie is made primarily of condensed milk, egg yolks and the juice of tiny yellow Key limes. The creamy filling is typically nestled in a graham cracker crust and crowned with whipped cream or meringue.
