Experience Yearlong ‘Taste of Key West 2021 Reimagined’ with Dining Card

Foodies can sample tasty temptations and savor the subtropical flavors of Key West through “Taste of Key West 2021 Reimagined” — a dining card that takes the place of the 25th annual one-night “Taste of Key West” waterfront in-person charity fundraiser that is traditionally held each April.

The pocket-size dining cards — priced at $100 each plus tax, with only 350 to be sold — are usable for a year beginning April 19, 2021, and are ideal for visitors seeking value-added dining or a unique gift.

The cards feature one-time options offered by participating restaurants, such as a complimentary entrée with purchase of a full-price entrée, complimentary appetizer with purchase of an entrée at full price, or a specified complimentary “taste sample” — a small portion, sample appetizer, ice cream, specialty juice or coffee — without purchase.

Participating restaurants include local favorites Alonzo’s Oyster Bar, La Trattoria, Matt’s Stock Island Kitchen & Bar, New York Pasta Garden and others, providing a wide variety of cuisine for virtually all tastes.

Known for its lively “Floribbean” food scene, Key West showcases popular island-style cuisine — fresh-off-the-boat seafood such as succulent pink shrimp with local ingredients including lime, coconut and mango — sprinkled with tangy indigenous and Caribbean-style spices.

New Key West restaurants have opened recently with breezy open-air spaces, while many favorite venues have expanded outdoor dining.

As well as creating memorable flavors, the island’s popular restaurant owner–personalities, chefs, cooks and staffs actively give back to the community. Taste of Key West 2021 Reimagined benefits the Florida Keys’ A.H. of Monroe County Inc., focusing on accessible healthcare, affordable housing and services for residents living with AIDS or HIV.

Available through A.H. of Monroe, the cards are to be mailed to purchasers. Food-lovers and gift-seekers who are in Key West also can stop by the office of We’ve Got the Keys, located at 922 Caroline St.  For additional details, visit ahmonroe.org/ or ahi.ticketleap.com/taste-of-key-west---2021-dining-card/, or call 305-296-6196 or 305-295-9112.
