Florida Keys Earns Top Marks by Dive Magazine’s Readers
FLORIDA KEYS—Readers of Scuba Diving magazine have named the Florida Keys & Key West among the World’s Best/Reader’s Choice Awards for 2020, ranking the island destination as either #1 or among Top Five in several dive categories.
Florida Keys took top honors in the “Beginner Diving,” “Photography,” “Macro Life” and “Snorkeling” categories.
The Keys also ranked among the Top Five highest reader scores for “Big Animals,” “Wreck Diving,” Best Value,” “Advanced Diving” and “Health of Marine Environment” categories.
Key Largo’s Horizon Divers also was awarded top honors for “Attention to Safety,” as well as best-quality awards for the professional operator’s dive boats, staff and facilities.

Scuba Diving Magazine asks readers to rate their dive vacations for the benefit of other divers. The ‘reporters’ in the field are the thousands of subscribers, readers who dive the world and record their observations.
Nearly 5,000 Scuba Diving subscribers and web users rated their experiences at dive destinations, resorts and liveaboards from around the world.
The 120-plus mile island chain is home to the continental United States’ only coral barrier reef, protected by the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary.
