Outdoor Stages to Backdrop Key Largo Original Music Fest Oct. 15-18

KEY LARGO, Florida Keys— More than two dozen elite musicians excelling at country, folk, pop and rock are to gather in the Florida Keys for the Key Largo Original Music Festival, Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 15-18.

Normally held in May but delayed this year due to COVID-19 precautions, the event consists of four days of live, knee-slapping and foot-tapping performances.

In the comfort of socially distanced, outdoor Key Largo venues, attendees are afforded intimate, behind-the-scenes experiences, hearing original hits of songwriters/performers from Tennessee, New York, Florida, and local Florida Keys favorites.

The stages at six waterfront eateries and watering holes each offer an individual flavor and ambiance for listeners, who pay nothing to attend, other than an evening out for some cocktails and/or dinner.

Music continues late into the evenings for several hours of live entertainment on the water at each venue including Sundowners, Cactus Jack’s, Jimmy Johnson’s Big Chill and the world-famous Caribbean Club, all around mile marker 104.

The lineup kicks off with singers/songwriters from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at Key Largo Fisheries, 1313 Ocean Drive. Music continues in the evenings Friday and Saturday, Oct. 16-17, with late-night jam sessions from 10 p.m. to midnight at Cactus Jack’s planned. The festival finale and beach barbecue is from 2-10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at Caribbean Club.
