Key West Yoga and Wellness Fest to Support Body, Mind and Spirit April 4-7

KEY WEST, Fla. — Attendees can immerse themselves in practices to enhance mind, body and spirit at the Key West Yoga and Wellness Fest scheduled Thursday through Sunday, April 4-7. The inspirational event is to feature sessions and workshops led by renowned teachers, musicians and healing practitioners — all set against the relaxing, rejuvenating backdrop of Key West.

The festival begins with a Thursday evening kick-off party at the Green Pineapple Wellness Center and Anahara Spa at 1130 Duval St. Admission is free.

Friday and Saturday, festival participants are to gather beside the Atlantic Ocean at Key West’s Higgs Beach and the Edward B. Knight Pier. From 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days, they can experience yoga classes including those incorporating music, “flight school” featuring handstands and inversions, relaxing massage, fundamental or introductory classes and restorative yoga sessions for all ages.

Whole-body wellness is to be highlighted through presentations on topics ranging from nutrition and energy medicine to essential oils and anti-aging strategies. In addition, a festival marketplace will feature vendors of yoga and fitness apparel, organic foods, local art, aromatherapy and crystals. Saturday’s offerings also include a children’s play and yoga space.

The grounds of Key West’s tranquil Southernmost House boutique hotel, overlooking the Atlantic at 1400 Duval St., are the setting for activities from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Attractions are to include musical yoga classes, sound meditation, mini spa treatments, energy healing sessions, culinary treats from gourmet chefs and workshops for the mind and body.

The festival schedule also features a dance party on Higgs Beach with noted yogi and sound master DJ Drez and opportunities to book optional workshops and private sessions with practitioners and healers.

General admission tickets are $50 per person per day. A VIP package is available for $250 per person and includes a walking meditation at the Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory and a session with yogi and musician Raghunath on the grounds of the Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum.
