BIG PINE KEY, Florida Keys — Fans of Florida Keys boating, fishing and diving can find goods and supplies for their watersports pursuits at the 15th annual Big Pine & Lower Keys Nautical Expo set for Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 12-13.

The open-air expo is designed to appeal to visiting and local sailors, anglers, kayakers, paddleboarders, underwater enthusiasts and everyone who enjoys the Keys’ subtropical seafaring environment.

Scheduled for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days, the maritime marketplace is held on the grounds of the Lower Keys Chamber of Commerce, mile marker 31 oceanside on Big Pine Key. Admission and parking are free.

Organizers expect about 90 vendors to be on hand offering goods for water-based activities of virtually all descriptions. Among the items typically available are dive and snorkel equipment, fishing gear, boating supplies and unique nautical-themed wares.

Vendors also are to offer arts and crafts, clothing, jewelry, home décor, casual food and beverages.

Other attractions at the family-friendly event include live music provided by favorite local and regional entertainers. Raffle giveaways are scheduled throughout the weekend, providing additional opportunities for nautical buffs to acquire great gear.
