The tournament features divisions for men, women, junior anglers ages 10 to 15 and Pee Wees under 10 years old — making it ideal for extended families and multigenerational groups who want to share the angling experience.

- History of Diving Museum is once again participating as a Blue Star Museum. Since the programs’ inception in 2010 HDM has collaborated with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families and the Department of Defense, along with more than 2,000 museums across America. This unique platform offers free admission to the nation’s active duty military personnel and up to five family members, from Armed Forces Day to Labor Day. Over 1,500 individuals have benefited by visiting the History of Diving Museum alone.

- Diving With a Purpose, 15 Year Odyssey: Restoring Our Oceans, Preserving Our Heritage

- Multiple groups such as Diving With a Purpose, the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, Biscayne National Park, and more have spent 15 years working together to showcase cultural and natural resources throughout the country. They focus in the protection, documentation, and interpretation of African slave trade shipwrecks and the maritime history and culture of African-Americans. This new exhibit at the History of Diving Museum, mile marker 82.9, highlights several shipwrecks and aircraft and the archaeological processes used to study them.

- Join Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary for the Get Into Your Sanctuary Eco-Fair, hosted at the Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center, 35 E. Quay Rd. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., learn about the sanctuary’s underwater habitats and animals, coral reef restoration efforts, and how to responsibly enjoy the natural marine environment that drives the local economy and the unique way of life in the Florida Keys. Open to the public with free admission, this event is weather dependent. Located in NOAA’s Dr. Nancy Foster Florida Keys Environmental Complex on the Truman Waterfront in Key West, the Eco-Discovery Center features more than 6,000 square feet of interactive exhibits, which interpret the resources and management efforts of Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, two national parks, and four national wildlife refuges.

- Discovery Saturday from 10-11 a.m. is hosted by the Key West Aquarium. Children will play games, color, and handle real shark jaws as they learn about the types of sharks and rays that live in Florida Keys waters. Space is limited. The Florida Keys Eco-Discover Center, operated by Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, hosts Discovery Saturday for children in kindergarten through fifth grade on the third Saturday of each month. - tropical Pacific with Dr. Jack Grove, as he presents on the atolls of the tropical South Pacific and the discovery of the wreck, Acadia that sank in 1889. Jack discovered the remains of the vessel in 1989. The following year, permission was secured from the Pitcairn Government to salvage the main anchor of the ship, now on permanent display overlooking Bounty Bay along with the remains of the HMS Bounty. Exhibits and Museum Store will be open until 6:45 p.m., with last exhibit tickets being sold at 6:15 p.m. Dedicated to collecting, preserving and displaying artifacts, antiques and photographs relative to diving and its heritage, the Florida Keys History of Diving Museum is a valuable educational resource through its “Immerse Yourself” free lecture series.

- To be held from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the 7 Artists Gallery, 213 Simonton St., check out the latest local art, including the work of artist Andreas Franke and his current The Sinking World exhibit, Plastic Ocean, that was recently removed from the hull of the Vandenberg. Hosted by Jennifer Badry, 7 Artists owner and curator, Andreas will be attending. Donations from the bar are to benefit the local Surfrider FlorIda Keys Chapter. This is a plastic-free event so bring your own drink cups.

- Kids ages 5-12 years old will learn about the preservation of the Florida Keys ecosystem with hands on activities like dip netting, site explorations, seining, water quality tests and environmental awareness classes. They'll learn about local wildlife including sea turtles, sharks, dolphin echolocation and the island's stunning coral reefs alongside certified marine biologists. The camp, which is open to Baker's Cay Resort guests as well as local kiddos, will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and is priced at $50 per resort guest and $40 for Monroe County resident. - Impromptu Classical Concerts presents: Trio Gaspard

- Trio Gaspard, whose members are from Germany, Greece and the UK, is one of the most sought-after trios of its generation. Jonian Ilias Kadesha (violin), Vashti Hunter (cello) and Nicholas Rimmer (piano) have been invited to perform regularly at major international concert halls like Wigmore Hall and the Berlin Philharmonie. They have been winners of three major international competitions since their inception in 2010. All Impromptu Classical Concerts are at 4:00 PM at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 401 Duval St. in Old Town.
