Fearsome fanged vampires, wicket vixens and villains of all sorts are set to prowl the streets of Key West Friday, Oct. 23, through Sunday, Nov. 1, during the island city's annual Fantasy Fest celebration.
This year themed "Villains, Vixens and Vampires," Fantasy Fest offers 10 days of masquerade balls, offbeat galas and other delights including a wacky costume challenge for pets, the lavish Pretenders in Paradise costume competition under the stars and a rollicking Masquerade March through the quaint streets of Old Town Key West.
The festival frolic climaxes in a glittering grand parade set for Halloween night. Traditionally featuring elaborate floats, exuberant marching bands and costumed dancers, the parade is to be led by vivacious vixen Bridget Marquardt, star of television's "The Girls Next Door" and "Bridget's Sexiest Beaches."
Internationally recognized for its uninhibited flair and lighthearted spirit, Fantasy Fest draws crowds of revelers each year eager to shed their real-world personalities and live out their fantasies in historic, offbeat Key West.
