Southern Airways Express to Launch Nonstop Service Between West Palm Beach and Key West

KEY WEST, Florida Keys — Southern Airways Express is to launch roundtrip daily weekday and twice-daily weekend service to Key West from West Palm Beach beginning Nov. 8.

The new nonstop service is to operate between fixed base operators Atlantic Aviation at West Palm Beach’s Palm Beach (PBI) and Signature Flight Support at Key West (EYW) international airports. Those terminals are private and “non-sterile,” meaning the flights do not depart from the two airports’ main terminals.

The flights are aboard Cessna Caravan 9-passenger turboprop aircraft, said Keith Sisson, the air carrier’s chief marketing officer.

“Our flights are like a chartered, private-style flying experience for the general public,” he said.

Monday through Thursday, daily flights from PBI are to arrive mid-afternoon into EYW. Friday through Sunday, daily arrivals are slated for morning and late afternoon.

Southern Airways Express currently serves 17 U.S. cities, with hubs in Baltimore, Dallas/Fort Worth, Memphis, Pittsburgh and West Palm Beach.
